Unaa state institution, responsible for registration of vehicles and issue of driving licenses, was created in Kyrgyzstan. The Information Support Department of the Government’s Executive Office reported.
According to the Prime Minister Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev, there are many complaints from the public about registration of cars and drivers.
«Long queues, late issue of documents and red-taping cause great inconvenience to citizens. Therefore, it was decided to liquidate the Specialized Information Services Center under the State Registration Service and the Department of Registration of Vehicles and Drivers and to create a new Unaa state institution on their basis,» he noted.
As the head of the Cabinet stressed, in order to exclude the human factor, full automation of the work of Unaa should be provided.
«The corruption mechanisms detected in the vehicles registration system in November do not comply with the principles of state policy and measures on digitalization of the country. In the near future, we must complete all the preparatory activities and recruit new employees through a transparent competition,» said Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev.
The management and staff of previous agencies sabotaged the work of automated systems and optimization of business processes, the government said.
