The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov met in Turkey with UFC champion, MMA wrestler Khabib Nurmagomedov. Father of the athlete, a senior coach of the wrestling club of Russia Eagles MMA Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov posted on Instagram.
«We have always been well received at all levels in Kyrgyzstan. Sooronbai Sharipovich Jeenbekov congratulated on the victory over McGregor at UFC 229. The conversation was very useful, fruitful,» he posted.
The President of Kyrgyzstan is in Turkey at the invitation of Recep Erdogan, where he attended opening of a new Istanbul International Airport and the events in honor of the 95th anniversary of founding of the Turkish Republic.
In October, Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated an Irishman Conor MacGregor and became the UFC champion.
