President instructs personnel service to improve institute of state secretaries

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov instructed the State Personnel Service to improve the institute of state secretaries. He met with the head of the service Akram Madumarov today.

According to the press service of the head of state, the president recalled that the personnel service was tasked with creating a reserve of civil servants, development of a mechanism of work of the National Personnel Reserve and reforming the Academy of Public Administration.

Sooronbai Jeenbekov set new goals for improving the personnel service in general, putting a focus on the transparency of competition to attract professionals to the public service and ensure their career growth.

Akram Madumarov announced completion of the first stage of formation of the National Personnel Reserve.

«In 2018, at least 715 people took part in the competition, 35 passed to the personnel reserve. Two of them were appointed to high government posts — State Secretary of the State Agency for Local Government Affairs and Interethnic Relations and the Director of the Bishkek City Development Agency,» he said.

Akram Madumarov added that training of state and municipal employees, heads of district and regional administrations, and employees of the highest state bodies would begin in 2019.
