The final of the contest of akyns-improvisers Aitysh began in Kyrchyn ethnic camp.
The competition aroused a great interest of the visitors, they began to gather long before the beginning.
Aitysh is an improvised match of two akyns, a form of oral folk song poetry. As a rule, it is performed to the accompaniment of folk string instruments.
Four akyns from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan took part the finals.
«In the semifinals, eight participants from each country fought for victory. Today, they will compete for the first, second and third places. But all the participants will receive prizes,» said the presenter Mirlan Samyikojo.
Participants come out in pairs. Their task is to talk down the rival. Each pair has 25 minutes for this.
The prize fund is 2 million soms.
