Unknown persons take hostage children of a Kyrgyz citizen in Moscow

Today morning, at about 4.00 Moscow time, two unknown men barged into an apartment at Simonovsky Val in Moscow and, threatening with a knife, tried to rob labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan. Eyewitnesses informed 24.kg news agency.

According to preliminary data, two citizens of Uzbekistan took hostage children who were in the apartment. Several women, who arrived from Kyrgyzstan to Moscow in search of work, rent the housing.

One Kyrgyzstani and her two minor children were in the apartment at the time of the attack. The criminals started demanding money. The woman managed to run out of the apartment and call the police.

The policemen, who arrived at the scene offered the citizens of Uzbekistan to surrender, but they refused, holding the children.

According to eyewitnesses, the police called the Special Rapid Deployment Force. Employees of SPDF took the apartment by storm. Children were not injured, no wounded were reported. The citizens of Uzbekistan were detained.

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Russia is not available for comment so far.
