The ex-president of Kyrgyzstan commented on the vote of no confidence in the mayor of Bishkek, Albek Ibraimov. The press service of SDPK reported.
«The result of the dirty harassment of Albek Ibraimov and politically motivated persecution was predictable,» he said.
"Mayor himself must be asked about the reasons for his absence at the session of the City Council. Maybe the information did not reach him, maybe it was more convenient for the deputies, or maybe they gave Albek Ibraimov too many reasons not to believe in the objectivity of the proceedings. Look how much mud is poured, how they interfere with the work for almost half a year already, «Almazbek Atambayev said.
«And all the actors understand that this has nothing to do with the fight against corruption. Anyone can lose faith in justice after the absurd accusations and unreasonable criminal prosecution of Sapar Isakov and Kubanychbek Kulmatov, especially after direct pressure on experts in HPP case,» Almazbek Atambayev said.
The public already openly calls this a frank and complete disregard for the laws and moral principles by the Corruption Control Service.

The ex-president considers Albek Ibraimov as an effective mayor under whom the seemingly unsolvable and endless problems of the capital began to be consistently resolved. «He made decisions, often unpopular. But he always answered before the townspeople and never hid himself behind someone else’s backs. This is a rare feature today,» he believes.
