Debts to Kyrgyz workers on Sakhalin cleared

The employer paid off the wage arrears to the striking workers from Kyrgyzstan. The website of prosecutor’s office of the region reported.

On June 21, almost 70 citizens of Kyrgyzstan did not come to construction site of GRES-2 on Sakhalin. Workers, subordinate to Amur subcontractor Gidromontazh, did not get wages for May.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Labor Inspectorate revealed wage arrears for May in the amount of more than 3 million rubles to 81 employees of the enterprise.

The Prosecutor’s Office made a submission to the head of the enterprise. At the same time, the prosecutor initiated cases on administrative offense in relation to the employer organization and its head.

As a result, the employer paid off the debts.

Recall, a similar situation occurred in May on the Kuril island of Paramushir. Then about 70 workers from Kyrgyzstan also stopped work at the facilities, demanding their salary for several months.
