Meeting of CIS Council of Heads of Government begins in Dushanbe

Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS countries began in Dushanbe, which is attended by the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev. The Information Support Department of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the meeting, Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev noted that the CIS, being the basis of all integration processes in the post-Soviet space, remains an important dialogue platform for the development of all-round cooperation.

«It is important to make maximum use of the CIS potential for joint promotion of industrialization and modernization in the Commonwealth space with a view to sustainable social and economic development and improvement of the welfare of our citizens. The agenda of the meeting includes issues of innovative development,» he said.

In this regard, we have high hopes for the effective implementation of the Interstate Target Program for Innovative Cooperation until 2020.

The Prime Minister stressed that the Government of Kyrgyzstan pays great attention to cooperation in the use of «green» technologies and will strengthen work on implementing the Concept of Cooperation in the field of innovative energy and advanced energy technologies development.

«Our efforts in the sphere of humanitarian cooperation will be directed to the development of the general educational, scientific, information and cultural space. At the same time, the main issues of our organization are improving the effectiveness of economic cooperation, consolidation of joint efforts and mutual support, which are very relevant in the current situation,» said Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev.

Kyrgyzstan calls on for further work to reduce protective measures and barriers to trade in order to create favorable conditions for the growth in the mutual trade.

In conclusion, he added that the 3rd World Nomad Games would be held on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake in September.
