The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov visited the veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Hero of Socialist Labor Korchubek Aknazarov. The press service of the head of state reported.
The president congratulated the veteran on the upcoming Victory Day and thanked him for everything he had done for the country.
«Thanks to people like you, we are celebrating Victory Day today. Thanks to your generation, our country coped with the difficulties of the post-war years. Having returned after the victorious end of the war, you selflessly worked for the good of the country,» said Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
The President Sooronbai Jeenbekov talked with the veteran and his family at tea, asked what the participant of the Great Patriotic War needed. The conversation touched upon the problems of the agrarian sector, the development of regions, and current social and political situation in the country.
The head of state noted that the instructions and advice of Korchubek Aknazarov are of special value, taking into account his experience and knowledge. «Your life experience, diligence, modesty are a model of what the current leader should be,» the president stressed.
Korchubek Aknazarov, the participant in the Great Patriotic War, told the stories of the war years, told about the hardships that the people went through in the wartime and post-war years.
The veteran wished the Kyrgyz people to be united, to preserve peace and harmony in the country and presented the head of state with his book «Omurdogu Ak Zhol.»
The war veteran Korchubek Aknazarov fought at the 1st Belorussian Front. He reached Warsaw and was wounded when crossing Vistula. In 1946, after returning from the war, he began his career as a director of Karl Marx school in Chatkal district. He devoted his life to party work and helped the people. For over 30 years, he took the leading posts — he worked as the first secretary of Ak-Talaa, Zhumgal and Kochkor district committees of the Communist Party of Kirgizia.
