At least 127 environmental specialists are fighting with illegal dumps in Kyrgyzstan, 15 of them — in Bishkek. The representatives of the State Ecological Inspectorate announced this today at the meeting of SDPK parliamentary faction.
MP Dastan Bekeshev raised the issue. «What do you think if we give powers to local administrations in order they themselves to bring to justice and impose fines?» he asked.
Officials noted that there are administrative commissions that consider materials about citizens, who are littering, in each district of the capital. In 2017, these commissions had considered 1,000 cases.
Dastan Bekeshev again proposed to create an environmental police.
