Convicted of attempt to seize power Bektur Asanov asks to explain why he is kept in a separate cell in penal colony No. 27. His letter to the Chairman of the State Penitentiary Service Taalaybek Zhaparov and the Prosecutor General Indira Dzholdubaeva was posted by the civil activist Adil Turdukulov on Facebook.
«On February 27, I was transferred to the penal colony No. 27 and still kept in an individual cell, although I was allotted to the fifth unit. I ask to explain it to me officially,» Bektur Asanov said in his letter.
Recall, the Bishkek City Court upheld the verdict of the first instance court to the members of El Unu. Dastan Sarygulov was sentenced to four years (three of them suspended) and released in the courtroom. Ernest Karybekov was sentenced to 20 years in prison, Bektur Asanov and Kubanychbek Kadyrov — to 12 years.
