It is planned to increase the public transport fare in Osh city. Press service of Osh City Administration informed 24.kg news agency.
According to it, the issue of increasing the cost of the service by 2 soms was submitted to the deputies of the City Council for consideration.
As of today, public bus fare in the southern capital costs 8 soms, in a trolley bus — 6 soms.
Schoolchildren have benefits and can use the public transport paying 1 som, as well as pensioners, social workers who serve citizens at home, and people with disabilities of the 1st category.
In case of an increase in the fare, Osh City Administration suggests increasing the fare for schoolchildren from 1 to 5 soms. Other categories of citizens will have privileges.
The issue of private minibuses’ services has not yet been resolved.
Recall, the issue of increasing the fare for public transport is also periodically raised in Bishkek.
