No rolling blackout in Kyrgyzstan this winter

In winter, there will be no rolling blackout in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Chairman of the National Energy Holding Nurlan Sadykov said at a meeting in the government on the preparation for the autumn-winter period.

According to him, as of October 28, the water volume in Toktogul reservoir amounted to 19.4 billion cubic meters, which is almost 2 billion more than in 2016.

«At present, 263,000 tons of coal delivered to the heating and power station, including 116,000 tons of imported coal, 21,500 tons from Tash-Kumyr, the rest — is Kara-Keche coal,» he said.

As he noted, the volume of electricity exports to Uzbekistan from June 16 to October 16, 2017 amounted to 1,140 million kilowatt hours.
