Member of Parliament Omurbek Tekebayev and ex-head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Duishenkul Chotonov were transferred to correctional facilities from Bishkek pretrial detention center 1. The State Penitentiary Service informed 24.kg news agency.
According to the agency, Omurbek Tekebayev will serve a criminal sentence in correctional colony 47, Duishenkul Chotonov — in the correctional colony 27, located in Moldovanovka village.
The convicted former deputy of the Parliament Sadyr Japarov was transferred to correctional institution No. 1 also located in Moldovanovka village.
Tekebayev and Chotonov were sentenced to eight years in prison with confiscation of property by decision of the Pervomaisky District and Bishkek City Courts. They were found guilty of corruption.
Sadyr Japarov was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison for taking a hostage.
