A religious figure was issued a written warning for election campaigning. The State Commission for Religious Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, they received information that the director of the madrassah «Sadykzhan kaara Kamaluddin» in Kara-Suu town of Osh region Sadykzhan Kamalov, who is also the head of the Kyrgyz Center for International Islamic Relations, conducted agitation during meeting with voters of one of the candidates for presidency.
It is noted that according to paragraph 15 of Article 22 of the Law on elections in Kyrgyzstan, representatives of religious organizations are not allowed to engage in election campaigning.
