Recruits of international terrorist organization detained in Kyrgyzstan

Recruits of an international terrorist organization are detained in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press center of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to it, on August 17, citizens of one of the CIS countries G.A. born in 1966 and S.S., born in 1971 were detained in Bishkek during counterterrorism measures on identification and suppress recruitment channels, transfer of recruits for participation in the armed conflict in Syria, and plans to commit sabotage and terrorist actions in Kyrgyzstan.

It is established that they are on the wanted list on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities and ties with militants in the Syrian international terrorist organizations. The detained arrived to the territory of Kyrgyzstan with the purpose of settling and waiting for further instructions from foreign logistics centers in Syria. For their transfer to the zone of military operations in Syria, the detainees produced counterfeit passports of citizens of the CIS.

On August 18, the detainees were handed over to the representatives of the competent bodies of the partners for further prosecution.
