Within the framework of another humanitarian mission, a special operation Aikol-3 to repatriate citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, staying in camps in the north-east of Syria, was successfully implemented on October 22. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to the ministry, a special aircraft from Syria to Kyrgyzstan delivered 21 women and 62 children who are citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Officials express special gratitude to the U.S. Government for its full assistance and logistical support for the successful realization of repatriation, as well as to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

As part of the completed mission, the Kyrgyz delegation handed over humanitarian aid with necessary medicines for the needs of the population of northeastern Syria.

At least 18 women and 41 children, who are citizens of Kyrgyzstan, arrived in Kyrgyzstan from the conflict zone in Syria as part of this humanitarian mission in February.
