Uzbekistan ready to continue strengthening friendship with Kyrgyzstan

Uzbekistan is ready to continue to pursue a policy of strengthening friendship with Kyrgyzstan, the head of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev said at a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, the information policy department of the presidential administration reported.

According to it, the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

Almazbek Atambayev noted the huge contribution of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to strengthening Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation and expressed confidence that Abdulla Aripov’s visit «will give a new impetus to the further development of bilateral relations based on the traditions of friendship and good-neighborliness, the principles of mutually beneficial partnership.»

Abdulla Aripov sent regards to the president from Shavkat Mirziyoyev and reported on the readiness of the country’s leadership to continue to pursue a policy of strengthening the relations of friendship and good neighborliness between the countries.

The Head of State wished successful and fruitful negotiations within the framework of the meetings of the intergovernmental commissions on bilateral cooperation and on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border.
