Sale of energy drinks to minors banned in Kyrgyzstan

Sale of energy drinks to minors was banned in Kyrgyzstan. The bill was approved by President Almazbek Atambayev.

Doctors have repeatedly stated that alcoholic energy and tonic drinks have a negative impact on the body. They are banned in many countries of Europe. This issue is also raised in Russia.

According to the approved law, the sale of alcoholic beverages, tonic non-alcoholic and low-alcoholic beverages is prohibited:

— In children’s, educational organizations and adjacent territories, as well as directly on the territories of medical institutions;

— in all types of public transport of urban and suburban network;

— in cultural organizations (with the exception of organizations located in them or public catering facilities without formation of a legal entity), physical culture and sports facilities;

— persons under 18;

— without accompanying documents;

— in places of mass events, on the territory of military units except for military trade objects, as well as in tents, containers, from hands, trays, cars, in other places that are not suitable for their sale.
