Kyrgyzstan has not single teenage urologist

There is not a single teenage urologist in Kyrgyzstan. This is stated in the special report of the Ombudsman «Observance of reproductive rights of women in the Kyrgyz Republic».

According to the republican medical information center, there are 11 teenage obstetrician-gynecologists in the country, including seven in Bishkek, one in Osh and three in national treatment and prophylactic organizations.

The report notes an acute shortage of neonatologists and anesthesiologists-resuscitation specialists, obstetrician-gynecologists, especially in the regions. For example, there are only 3 neonatologists in the entire Talas region.

The main personnel potential of the reproductive health service is 1,729 family doctor groups (31.5 per 10,000 people) and 1,002 obstetrician-gynecologists (1.8 per 10,000 people).
