One more charge brought against MP Kanat Isaev

One more charge was brought against the deputy of the Parliament from Kyrgyzstan faction Kanat Isaev. The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to it, on May 25, the Investigation Department within the framework of the restored criminal case, filed in 2010 by the State Financial Crimes Control Service, charged Kanat Isaev under Article «Corruption».

Earlier, the criminal case on this episode was lost in the Chui regional prosecutor’s office. The case was restored by the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State National Security Committee.

It says that Kanat Isayev, being the mayor of Tokmak city and acting in conspiracy with other officials of the mayor’s office, illegally transferred the building of the state library — the branch of the Central Library System No. 1 in Tokmak — together with the land plot of 500 square meters to the private ownership for 572,116 soms.

According to the conclusion of commission forensic construction and technical expertise, the market value of this building in 2010 was more than 1 million soms. As a result of the unlawful actions of K. Isaev and other persons, the state suffered a large amount of damage.

This criminal case was combined into one proceeding with the main case against Isaev and other defendants. On May 11, 2017, the investigative body chose a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the city for the accused.
