According to it, the board meeting was held in order to consolidate the efforts of prosecutors of the two countries aimed at combating transnational organized crime, terrorism, violent extremism, smuggling of goods, narcotic drugs, as well as preventing and investigating border conflicts.
As a result of the meeting, a joint protocol was signed under which the parties agreed to provide appropriate prosecutor’s supervision over the implementation of national legislation and intergovernmental legal acts aimed at the speedy delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.
It was also decided to instruct the relevant units to establish a permanent working contact group of representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the two countries for the regular exchange of operational, reference and other information on the activities of criminal groups and specific individuals involved in extremist-terrorist crimes.
