Kyrgyzstanis won 11 medals at the Asian Judo Cup, which ended yesterday in Chirchiq city (Uzbekistan), ippon.org reported.
According to it, medals were played in two age groups. There were 197 athletes from 12 countries among the cadets, including 16 Kyrgyzstanis. Aibek uulu Kubanychbek (weight category up to 55 kg) took the second place, Khamid Sansanza (up to 60 kg), Rustam Turusbekov (up to 81 kg), Dastan Sarbatov (over 90 kg) and Begimai Urustamova (63 kg) became the third. The team of the KR took the sixth place in the team classification.
156 judo wrestlers from 10 countries participated in the tournament among the juniors. Among them were 15 representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic. Dayana Minalieva (over 78 kg) has won gold. Akylbek uulu Asman (up to 60 kg) and Daria Timofeeva (78 kg) became silver medalists, and Sagynbai uulu Bayaman (up to 60 kg), Erlan Sherov (up to 81 kg) and Ziregul Kadyrova (63 kg) — bronze medalists. Kyrgyzstanis are the fourth in the team classification.
