An athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Khaithon Khusan kyzy, won a gold medal at the Asian Para Games in China. The Games’ website reports.
At the judo tournament among the blind in the weight category up to 48 kilograms, she defeated her opponent from Indonesia, Novia Larassati, in the 1/2 finals.
In the final, she defeated the Japanese Hangai Shizuka and became the champion.
The Asian Para Games are held in Hangzhou on October 22-28. At least 29 Kyrgyzstanis will take part in them in six sports: athletics, powerlifting, tennis, swimming, chess and judo.
