Kyrgyzstan works on creation of comfortable conditions for tourists

The summer tourist season on Issyk-Kul Lake will be opened at the hippodrome in Cholpon-Ata on May 6–7, the Director of the Department of Tourism Azamat Zhamankulov said today at a press conference.

«We are working on creation of the most comfortable conditions for tourists, starting with their arrival at the airport. This is the luggage compartment, the green corridor, the question of taxi drivers and so on. The question of roads leading to the tourism facilities is one of the most difficult, which must also be solved. And another scrupulous question for all of us is public toilets. The problem can’t be solved only through the construction, one must manage it," Azamat Zhamankulov said.

«The government has given us the task of setting up roadside camping centers throughout the country. What will they include? Small parking, coffee shop, information tourist center, toilet and a small shop with products of a local manufacturer. Together with the World Bank, we determined five camping centers in Issyk-Kul region. We choose places for their construction in other regions," he said.
