Five-star hotel to be built in Issyk-Kul region for 10 billion soms

Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Parlaiment of Kyrgyzstan considered ratification of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of Azerbaijan on investments for the construction of a five-star hotel on the shore of Issyk-Kul lake, signed on October 12, 2023.

The speaker was a Deputy Head of the Department of Presidential Affairs Talantbek Dzhunushev. He provided information about the bill.

«The draft agreement is aimed at creating a five-star hotel, other related infrastructure and construction facilities intended for resort, recreational and tourist activities on the shores of Issyk-Kul lake,» Dzhunushev noted.

Deputy Chingiz Aidarbekov asked about the project budget.

«We are working on design documentation, and calculations are underway. «Preliminarily, this is 8-10 billion in soms,» the representative of the president’s office answered.

The five-star hotel will be located between Kara-Oi village and Cholpon-Ata city.

Talantbek Dzhunushev added that the procedure for issuing permits for the proposed construction site is underway.

Deputies called to support the bill in three readings. They noted that the construction of a five-star hotel on the shores of Issyk-Kul will create good conditions for investors.
