The death toll from an explosion at a fireworks factory in Hunan Province has risen to 21, with 61 people injured to varying degrees, China Central Television reported.

Five rescue teams are currently at the scene in the city of Liuyang. A total of 482 people have been mobilized to deal with the aftermath.
Liuyang (Hunan Province) is known for its many fireworks factories and pyrotechnic displays, which attract numerous tourists.
