Kyrgyzstani Abdulgadzhi Gaziyev will make his debut in the largest Asian promotion ONE Championship in Bangkok on April 18, where he will face Russian opponent Ivan Bondarchuk. The organization’s website says.
At ONE Friday Fights 105 tournament, the 32-year-old fighter will compete in the featherweight division (up to 70.3 kilograms).
Abdulgadzhi Gaziyev, known by the nickname «Gorets», represents Bishkek and trains at the Phuket Fight Club and Galaktic Sports clubs.
He began his professional career in 2014 and since then has had 20 fights with 18 wins, one loss and one draw. His record includes fights in organizations such as OCTAGON, WEF and Battle Promotion, as well as a silver belt as a winner of the MMA Series.
For 27-year-old Ivan Bondarchuk, this will be his third bout in ONE.
A successful debut could bring Abdulgadzhi Gaziyev closer to signing a $100,000 contract on the ONE Championship main roster.
ONE Friday Fights 105 tournament includes 12 fights in four disciplines — Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA and submission grappling.
The tournament will begin at 6.30 p.m.
