The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan is conducting a study of potentially dangerous zones in Batken region, the ministry reported.
The work is being carried out by the Department of Monitoring and Forecasting Emergencies.
Specialists have already surveyed the city of Sulyukta and studied areas that are at risk of landslides and rock collapses.
Drones were used to conduct aerial photography, which is necessary to create a topographic map of dangerous zones. Special markers have also been installed at the sites to monitor the activity of geological processes. Local residents were provided with relevant information and awareness-raising work was carried out.
