Kazakhstan has extended the export restrictions on liquefied gas for six months. The corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Energy.
The decision was made taking into account the growth in consumption of liquefied petroleum gas and its social significance in the country’s domestic market.
The exceptions are:
- Export by subsoil users under an agreement or contract with a stable tax regime in accordance with Article 722 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Export of goods produced from Kazakhstani raw materials extracted at Karachaganak field, based on international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Transit transportation through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Export as part of humanitarian aid by decision of the government.
Recall, the ban was introduced by order of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 13, 2023 No. 401. Previously, the ban on the export of liquefied petroleum gas, propane and butane from Kazakhstan was imposed for three years.
