As a result of January-October 2024, Kyrgyzstan’s GDP reached 1.08 trillion soms with a growth rate of 9.6 percent compared to the same period last year. The National Statistical Committee reported.
GDP growth was provided by commodity production sectors, the service sector and taxes on products. Compared with January-October 2023, the growth rate in the commodity sectors amounted to 10.8 percent, in the service sector — 8.3 percent, and net taxes on products — 11.3 percent.
The service sector accounts for the largest share of GDP (more than 49 percent), which is 0.5 percentage points less compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the share of commodity sectors increased by 1.3 percentage points, amounting to about 34 percent. As for commodity production, growth was registered in construction (by 1.6 percentage points) and industry (by 0.7 percentage points), while the share of agriculture decreased by 1 percentage point.
Recall, the Ministry of Economy predicted that the volume of Kyrgyzstan’s gross domestic product would exceed 1,410 trillion soms in 2024. Last year, GDP exceeded 1 trillion soms only at the end of November.
