Health Ministry asks Turkey to resume quotas for treatment of Kyrgyzstanis

The Ministry of Health is asking Turkey to resume quotas for treatment of Kyrgyzstanis. The Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said at a meeting with the Turkish Minister of Health Kemal Memisoglu.

The parties discussed the prospects and priorities of cooperation in the field of health care between the two countries, personnel provision, training of medical specialists from Kyrgyzstan in Turkish clinics, as well as the development of pharmaceutical industry and ensuring access to medicines.

Alymkadyr Beishenaliev thanked the Turkish government and Kemal Memisoglu for the support provided to the healthcare system of Kyrgyzstan.

He voiced a request to resume the quota for treatment of 150 citizens in Turkish clinics.

According to him, the signed agreements between the Cabinet of Ministers and the government of the two countries on joint management of the Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital named after Recep Tayyip Erdogan and training of Kyrgyzstanis in the field of medicine and medical specialties in Turkey, as well as the protocol on cooperation between the Ministries of Health of the two countries in the field of organ transplantation, will step up efforts for further cooperation.
