Turkey to allocate $32 million for Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital

Turkey will allocate $32 million for the Bishkek State Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship under the joint management agreement. Deputy Minister of Health Kaarmanbek Baidavletov announced at a meeting of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of Parliament.

According to the deputy minister, the funds will be used to ensure operation of the medical institution for five years.

The agreement also states that 20 doctors from Kyrgyzstan will be trained in Turkey annually.

Kaarmanbek Baidavletov noted that to date 88 medical workers work in the hospital from the Kyrgyz side, and 44 — from the Turkish side. The salary of Kyrgyz doctors is $1,200, nurses — $600. Doctors from Turkey receive $1,500.
