Inflation in Kyrgyzstan reached 3.4 percent since beginning of 2024

Inflation in Kyrgyzstan has reached 3.4 percent since the beginning of 2024. Reports of the National Statistical Committee say.

According to open data, from January to September, the increase in consumer prices and tariffs as a whole amounted to 3.4 percent compared to December 2023.

The price of non-food products increased by 2.9 percent, food products and soft drinks — by 1.4 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products — by 9.2 percent, tariffs for services provided to the population — by 7 percent.

The prices of meat (by 11 percent), animal fats (by 9.5 percent), ice cream (by 8.6 percent), potatoes (by 7.5 percent), salt (by 7.2 percent), fat cottage cheese (by 6.2 percent) and soft drinks (by 4.8 percent) went up most of all. Prices also increased for other food products, including fish, confectionery, rice, cheese, milk, butter and sugar.
