As part of his working visit to Pakistan, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov held a bilateral meeting with Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Akylbek Japarov noted the high level of political dialogue between the two countries, mentioning key events of this year, such as the signing of a trilateral agreement on the construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, the opening of a joint trilateral company in Bishkek, Bedel checkpoint and the launch of Junda oil refinery.
He also added that bilateral trade is actively developing, with figures amounting to almost $20 billion.
Akylbek Japarov also made a number of proposals for financial cooperation, including interbank partnership, opening branches of Chinese banks in the Kyrgyz Republic, and assistance in issuing government securities in Chinese currency.
In turn, Li Qiang noted the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries, expressing readiness for joint steps to strengthen bilateral relations and achieve the goals set.
The parties also discussed cooperation in the fields of mineral resource development, power industry, agricultural products exports, cultural, humanitarian ties and tourism.
