Inflation in Kyrgyzstan to reach 5.8 percent in 2025, Cabinet predicts

According to forecasts by the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, the inflation rate in 2025 will be 5.8 percent, compared to December of the previous year. Data from the draft republican budget for 2025 and 2026-2027 planning period say.

«Monetary policy will be aimed at maintaining price stability. Its target will be to keep the inflation rate within 5-7 percent in the medium term, provided there are no shocks,» the draft budget says.

It is noted that the monetary policy will be developed taking into account the task of the National Bank to maintain the purchasing power of the national currency to promote long-term economic growth of the republic. To this end, sterilization operations will continue to remove excess liquidity through open market operations in order to limit the impact of monetary factors on inflation.

Inflation is expected to be at the level of 5.3 percent in 2026 and 2027.
