Chinese electric vehicle company intends to enter Kyrgyzstan’s market

The Chinese company Neta Motors, which specializes in the production of electric vehicles and three-wheeled motorcycles, «expressed serious interest in opening a representative office or its branch in Kyrgyzstan.» The press service of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, on October 3, the ministry’s trade representative in Uzbekistan, Almaz Temirbekov, met in Tashkent with representatives of one of the leading Chinese companies in the field of electric transport Neta Motors.

As noted, the opening of its representative office in Kyrgyzstan «promises not only to strengthen economic ties between the countries, but also to play a key role in promoting environmentally friendly technologies in the region.»

Representatives of Kyrgyzstan emphasize the importance of such projects for the growth of the country’s innovative potential. Opening of the representative office of the leading manufacturer of electric transport will open up new opportunities for attracting highly qualified specialists and introducing advanced technologies.

The partnership with the Chinese side will allow Kyrgyz companies to gain access to international standards in the field of sustainable development and modern transport solutions, which will significantly accelerate the transformation of domestic infrastructure into a more environmentally friendly future, the Ministry of Economy believes.

  • Neta brand was launched in 2018 by a company producing cars running on new energy sources (NEV) Hozon Auto, created four years earlier. To date, its product line includes five models — Aya, X, S, GT and L. In the first half of 2024, Neta sold almost 54,000 cars.
