Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, speaking at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan, noted that the citizens of the EAEU member countries are the main beneficiaries of economic integration. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
In his speech, he stressed that the level of integration has been reached, at which business and citizens of the member states realize the importance of the unity of the economic union and expect the same treatment when being on the territory of any of the EAEU countries. Japarov pointed out the high degree of freedom of movement of labour, thanks to which citizens can experience the benefits of integration in practice.
He paid special attention to the tightening of migration legislation, saying that new initiatives should not contradict the norms of the EAEU treaty and affect the rights of working citizens in the union and their families.
Both in the documents initiated by state structures and in the public space, it is necessary to clearly distinguish between the rights of citizens of the EAEU and non-EAEU countries.
He called on the Eurasian Economic Commission and authorized bodies of the member states to find mutually acceptable solutions to these issues in order to prevent a rollback in the integration process.
The meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council ended on Tuesday in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan.
