The 5th International Charity Half Marathon Snow Leopard Run will be held in Bishkek on September 29. Organizers announced.
The race traditionally starts at the central Ala-Too square. The route will run along Chui Avenue, Abdrakhmanov Street, through VDNKh area, then along Chingiz Aitmatov Avenue.
It is expected that about 4,500 people will take part in the half marathon.
Registration is open for the following distances: 5, 14 and 21.1 kilometers, as well as for the race for children from 3 to 13 years old.
«Snow Leopard Run is an opportunity to unite the efforts of thousands of people to protect one of the rarest and most amazing animals — the snow leopard. Each participant of the race contributes to the preservation of not only one of the main symbols of Kyrgyzstan, but also the environment as a whole,» the organizers noted.
To participate in the race, anyone can register on the website www.nomadsport.net .
The organizer of the sporting event is the public association Nomad Sport.
The first Snow Leopard Run took place in Bishkek in 2019. Then 3,600 runners from 20 countries took part in it.
