A SUV was detained at Ken-Bulun checkpoint on Kyrgyz-Kazakh border, which was used to smuggle 3.3 kilograms of gold bars to the neighboring republic. The press service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
According to it, the precious metal was valued at more than 30 million soms.
«The gold was hidden in a cache, and there were no necessary documents for its export,» the statement says.
