As of the end of July 2024, there were 21 commercial banks left in Kyrgyzstan, that is two less than last year. The list of financial institutions is available on the National Bank website.
In June 2024, Amanbank RK JSC re-registered as the microfinance company Aman Credit, and the branch of the National Bank of Pakistan completed the self-liquidation process that began in 2021. The total authorized capital of these two banks was 1.4 billion soms.
However, the total capital of the banking sector continued to grow, reaching 68 billion soms, thanks to an increase in the assets of ten other banks.
