The Ministry of Natural Resources of Kyrgyzstan intends to build four water monitoring stations, the total budget of which will be $300,000. A new report by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) on the topic «Infrastructure in Eurasia» says.
The stations will be installed in strategically important points of the country. A 24-hour station will start operating in Bishkek, an autonomous installation will appear in Osh, and two similar stations will be located on Issyk-Kul lake for year-round monitoring. The project is financed at the expense of grants from the World Bank.
Water monitoring stations are specialized objects or installations designed for continuous monitoring and analysis of water quality in rivers, lakes, reservoirs and other water resources. These stations are equipped with various devices and sensors that measure water parameters such as temperature, pollution levels, dissolved solids, oxygen, pH, as well as the presence of toxic chemicals or biological pollutants.
