A gold bar production workshop is expected to be opened in Kara-Balta city as part of a state project. The city mayor Milan Zhekshenov announced on the air of Birinchi Radio.
According to him, the construction and reconstruction of the building of the workshop have been fully completed — the area of the facility is 1,500 square meters.
The total amount of investments is 300 million soms.
Milan Zhekshenov told that it was planned to produce up to 3,600 kilograms of gold in the form of bars of various weights — from 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 ounces to 50-100 grams — for the domestic market within the next year.
The opening of the workshop will create up to 50 new jobs.
