Winners of Paris Olympics awarded in Talas

Ceremony of awarding the participants and winners of the Paris Olympics took place in Manas Ordo complex in Talas region. The press service of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President to the region reported.

The head of the region, Ermat Dzhumayev, congratulated the athletes and presented the silver medalist of the Olympic Games, Meerim Zhumanazarova, with 3 million soms. Another silver medalist, Munarbek Seyitbek uulu, received 1 million.

Bronze medalists Uzur Dzhuzupbekov and Zholaman Sharshenbekov were awarded 1.5 million soms each. Aisuluu Tynybekova and Akzhol Makhmudov received 500,000 for third places. Aiperi Medet kyzy and Bekzat Almaz uulu were awarded 300,000 soms each.

Chief and personal coaches received from 100,000 to 150,000 soms. The women’s wrestling team of Kyrgyzstan was also presented with jewelry for their achievements at the Olympics, and male athletes were presented with racehorses.

Businessman Taalaibek Tilebaldiev presented Olympic medalists with plots of land on the shore of Issyk-Kul lake.

At least 16 athletes from the Kyrgyz Republic participated in the Olympics — in wrestling, swimming, track and field, judo and boxing. They won four bronze and two silver medals, and also set two national records.
