Japanese corporation Gojo & Company Inc. will conduct a feasibility study on the development of microfinance market of Kyrgyzstan by March 2025. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce reported.
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed.
In Astana, within the framework of Central Asia + Japan summit, the parties expressed optimism about the future partnership and agreed to develop specific plans and projects in the near future.
«The signing of the memorandum demonstrates the parties’ readiness to establish sustainable business relations and develop economic opportunities,» the ministry said.
By September 2025, the Japanese side will enter into a final agreement with the microfinance organization (MFO), which will provide for equity investments in the MFO in order to expand access of rural small and medium-sized enterprises to financial services.
