Alcohol produced in private house in Osh, criminal case initiated

More than two tons of illegally produced alcohol and alcoholic beverages have been seized in Osh city and Osh region. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Some citizen and his accomplices were smuggling alcohol from Tajikistan in Osh. Then, in a private house, they produced alcohol-containing products that were sold in the city of Osh and Osh region.

At least 390 five-liter plastic containers with alcohol were seized in the basement of an unfinished house in Japalak rural area of Osh region. The total volume is 1,950 liters.

In addition, 123 boxes with 24 bottles of 0.2 liters were seized in the garage of a house in Manas rural area of Kara-Suu district — 2,952 bottles (590.4 liters) of alcoholic beverages in total. A criminal case has been opened under Article 240 «Illegal production of alcohol and alcohol-containing beverages» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Work continues to find out all the circumstances of this case.
