Mudflow swept away a car with five people inside in Kara-Kuldzha district of Osh region. Eyewitnesses reported.
The incident happened last night. As a result of heavy rains, a mudflow occurred in Zhetim-Dobo village and swept away the Daewoo Matiz car. A family of five people was in the car: a resident of Tektir village, his wife, two sons and a daughter. The driver managed to pull the girl out of the car, but the rest were carried away by the mudflow.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the information.
Destructive mudflows occurred in Nookat district of Osh region on June 28. Due to heavy rains, mudflows flooded dozens of courtyards, damaging several bridges and roads. An emergency situation has been declared in the district.
