Kumtor finances construction of kindergarten in Temir-Kanat village

Kumtor Gold Company financed the construction of a kindergarten for 40 children in Temir-Kanat village, Ton district of Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. The company reported.

At the opening ceremony, President of Kumtor Gold Company Almazbek Baryktabasov noted the importance of supporting initiatives aimed at improving the quality of preschool and school education.

«A new kindergarten is always an important and pleasant event that affects every family. With its opening, children will be able to socialize faster and get ready for school, which is extremely important for their successful future. Considering the fact that the majority of the country’s population lives in rural areas, our company, which is the largest industrial enterprise in the republic, will continue to support initiatives aimed at building new kindergartens and educational institutions locally,» he said.

In addition, at the request of local government bodies and village residents, the company also financed the provision of the kindergarten with furniture and other necessary equipment.

Kumtor Gold Company provides assistance on an ongoing basis in the implementation of various projects, including in the field of preschool and school education. So, last year the company financed the purchase of personal computers, interactive whiteboards and projectors for educational institutions in Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions.

In addition, musical equipment and instruments were purchased for the administration of Tyup district and the Tyup Children’s Music School named after Orozov, and new methodological and didactic aids, children’s books and educational toys were purchased for the children of Special Preschool Educational Organization No. 16 in Bishkek.
