At least 11 cases of poaching were detected on Issyk-Kul lake during May and June 2024. The press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the region reported.
According to it, three local residents were detained on the shore. 50 chebaks were confiscated from them.
A total of 389 illegally caught fish, five fishing nets and three inflatable boats were seized for two months. All this was handed over to the relevant government agencies for further investigation and taking the necessary measures.
The Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region continues to actively fight poaching and calls on citizens to comply with established fishing rules.
