This is 12.8 percent, or $78.34 million, more than in 2023.
In March, the inflow of remittances to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $225.1 million. This is $19.5 million more than a month earlier. The majority of remittances come from Russia—$207.5 million. About $10.5 million was transferred from other states to Kyrgyzstan, and $5.2 million — from the United States.
As a result of March, there was also an outflow of funds of $32.4 million. Over the month, the figure decreased by $17.1 million. The main part of the money was transferred to Russia ($27.5 million). For just three months of 2024 the outflow of money from the country reached $138.27 million, which is $20.33 million less than for the same period in 2023.
The net inflow of remittances in January — March 2024 to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $551.47 million.
This is $98.67 million, or 21.8 percent, more than the 2023 figure.
In 2023, the volume of remittances to the country amounted to $2,706.1 billion. At least $561.2 million was transferred from the Kyrgyz Republic to other states. Net inflow reached $2,144.9 billion.
